I love the color of this dress, and the style of it. A little medieval, a little Victorian, but very free and no corset!
To start out with, here’s my favorite picture of the glorious Ellen Terry, replete in a badly tied kimono, but with such a wonderfully strong pose for a woman of that era.
This is a new site for me. I have two other journal blogs and a blogspot. So this one is just for me. I’m going to post anything and everything that suits my fancy. My discipline is costume history, specializing in the Victorian period, but I’m interested in other periods of costume as well, both more recent and more ancient.
